MANDATORY  INSTRUCTIONS

for stocking, installation and maintenance

Products :  fills  2H-FKP, 2H-FKC, 2H-KGP, 2H-KGC, 2H-TKP, 2H-KVP

 Working with foil :

a)  Foil must be stocked in original metallic or wooden crates. Wooden crates may not be damaged and can be only two on each other.

b) Foil may not be stored on free place, if necessary must be covered ahead of rain. Storehouse or penthouse recommended.

c) Use only dry foil for welding or gluing

 Loading (unloading) :

a) careful manipulation, there is impossible to move blocks on floor wagon or truck, blocks must not be throw on earth or floor of vehicle, walking along blocks is forbidden

b) blocks must be loaded that way of channel goes from top to down - in this direction the blocks have the biggest strength

c) particular caution is necessary at frost (under 0°C)!

 Stocking :

a) free loaded or wrapped blocks , maximal height 3 m

b) free loaded blocks under roof, maximal height 3 m

c) wrapped on pallets, maximal height 2,4 m - on outdoor deposit, during winter covered by foil

d) blocks FKC and KGC cannot be covered or packed in plastic foil in temperature higher than 10°C. Under the sun   internal temperature under foil can be higher than 52°C and blocks can be deformed 

e) under tightening tapes advise clamp from hard paper 100 x 200 mm is recommended

 Installation :

a) support system – cooling towers – beam distance 500 - 800 mm, width of support minimally 50 mm or use grids. We recommend to make length of free (unsupported) part of block maximally ½ of height of block.

b) support system – trickling filters – For the support system for trickling filters please contact 2H Plast s.r.o. Depending on the situation a individual recommendation will be made.

c) layers are assembled in angle 90°, height according project documentation, block cannot be mechanically destroyed

d) walking on block is forbidden, there is necessary to use some wooden plates for walking during installation

e) manipulation with open fire or other thermal sources (like welding apparatus or grinding machines etc.) is forbidden. In any case a fire extinguisher is recommended during the works and installed blocks must be wet.

f) manipulation at temperatures of below 0°C has to be made very careful to avoid damages on the blocks.

g) cutting – with hand saw with small teeth or with hot wire

h) blocks marked by color must be assembled in separate layers according colors.

i) only authorized partner can make installation of 2H products

Operation and maintenance - cooling tower:

a)      necessity take heed to regular spray of cooling water and right function of nozzles. Nozzles must not to be partly or totally blocked - can reach the damage or destruction of fills by aquatic ray. Monthly checking is recommended.

b)     cooling water must not contain matters which with decrease of temperature can precipitate and can block up channels of fills (fat, oil, petroleum produces etc.). There is also necessary to control contents of calcium, magnesium, iron and manganese in cooling water and add inhibitors to eliminate possibility of creation of incrustations.

c)      temperature input water must not cross maximum permission temperature for using fills

d)     damaged blocks is necessity  change – during warranty after agreement with 2H.

Operation and maintenance – other applications : 

a)      on application where fills are sprinkling is necessity take heed to periodic spray fluid and check whether  channels are blocked

b)     temperature of fluid must not cross maximum permission temperature for using fills

c)      advise periodic checking state and function of fills

d)     damaged blocks is necessity  change - in during warranty after agreement with 2H.

Operation temperatures

Fire security :

Manipulation with open fire or other thermal sources (like welding apparatus or grinding machines etc.) is forbidden. In any case a fire extinguisher is recommended during the works and installed blocks must be wet. Burning material is possible to extinguish by foam or powder.
